Facing Fear, Fueling Ambition

Fear is inevitable. Whether it's the fear of not being good enough, of not reaching my goals, or of falling short of expectations, it’s always there, lurking in the background

Sharing My Real Path

I created this CBSE student blog to not just show my passion and success, but the real path and all my ups and downs. I hope to keep it real here, make it clear that no one is perfect and that hard work pays off for you and me.

We all have that one student in our school who always seems to be perfect, she has perfect grades, great in sports, has a huge amount of friends and has a love able personality. The one student that makes you feel like you're not the best and that you're just average. I wish i could say its me but that would stay a dream. Lets call her Maryam.

Maryam recently finished her board examinations and entered 11th. I couldn't help but wonder what her next steps would be so i asked her what she wanted to be.  When i Heard "aeronautical engineer or aerospace engineer" my heart shattered. Not because I'm selfish but fear. Fear of her winning over me, She was perfect after all. Its the feeling that she would make it and i would turn up miserable. As i come from an average income household and she comes from quite a richer family there was nothing to make me feel better.... only deepened the sense of helplessness. I longed to feel like I was the best, like I had something to prove to myself, but in that moment, all I could see was that she had it all. She was just better.

Overcoming Doubt: Turning Fear Into Motivation
Overcoming doubt as a student, i found reason to keep going. One person should not let my dreams down. An obstacle shouldn’t block me from my destination....The deep realization that comparing would only bring me down and that i am good enough and all i need is trust made me feel better and confident .I made an oath to my self, to my future, ' I will win. I will try, and try to be better and reach the top. No one can keep me from my dreams.' I was eager to prove to my haters that i can do it and i will.

META DESCRIPTION:
A raw and honest journey of a CBSE student facing fear, self-doubt, and comparison—turning insecurities into motivation and chasing dreams with relentless determination.

Taking Off! My Journey into Aeronautical Engineering

Taking Off! My Journey into Aeronautical Engineering

Hello! I'm Hera, a 10th grader with a passion for aeronautical engineering. Outside the classroom, I compete in football and spend my time wondering about the intricate designs and mechanisms of how things work, both on the field and in the sky.

I created The Path Above to document my journey toward becoming an aeronautical engineer. This blog isn’t just about reaching my goal  it’s about the path leading me there, sharing lame late night ideas, small wins, setbacks, and everything in between.

My Early Passion for Airplanes

Ever since I was six, I’ve been fascinated by airplanes. I still remember my first experience flying and wondering, “How does all this work?” When people asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" my answer was always, "A pilot!" Unlike some who struggled to figure it out, I knew exactly what I wanted from a young age.

The Challenges of Becoming a Pilot

As life went on, things changed. When I turned 14, reality set in. The path to becoming a pilot seemed increasingly difficult. Although I loved the idea of flying, the challenges were significant. The cost was higher than I had imagined, and the job came with a lot of pressure and risk. Slowly, my answer to "What do you want to be when you grow up?" became less certain. One week, I wanted to be a food technologist the next week, an engineer. And my dreams felt all over the place.

Discovering Aeronautical Engineering

After a year of research and reflection, a friend introduced me to aeronautical engineering. It was the perfect combination, a connection to airplanes, the world of engineering, and something I was genuinely passionate about. Suddenly, everything clicked. I had found the clear direction I was searching for, and it felt right.
